Our approach to sustainability centres on energy, everyday lighting, recycling and lower-impact travel. Here is how you can take part when you work at the studio.
Our existing approach
Four areas where we can make a difference.
Energy
Our electricity and gas are supplied by EDF Energy. Energy choices are part of how we manage the studio’s day-to-day environmental impact.
We prioritise recycling paper, plastic and metal, with designated recycling bins around the studio. Please separate recyclable materials from other production waste.
The studio’s in-house everyday lighting uses LED systems to reduce energy use and the frequency of bulb replacement. Our production-hire catalogue also includes other fixture types; ask about LED options for your shoot.
We encourage cycling where it works for the journey. Clients arriving by bike can lock their bicycles inside the studio; let the team know so they can show you a suitable space.
Share travel and load-in plans so journeys can be coordinated.
Bring a reusable water bottle and use the kitchen facilities.
Discuss reusable scenery and the removal of set materials in advance.
Separate waste into the designated bins and ask if you are unsure.
Discuss lighting and power needs early, including suitable LED options.
These are practical planning suggestions for your production. If you need supplier information or evidence for a sustainability report, tell us what your project requires.
